Sponsored by the Orissa Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA), this video describes the school situation for tribal children in this culturally rich state of India. Included are interviews with Dr. Mahendra Kumar Mishra, State Tribal Coordinator, OPEPA, Indian linguists (including Prof. D.P. Pattnayak, Prof. Khageswar Mahapatra, and Prof. Ajit Mohanty), and interviews with the then State Program Director Sri Madhusudhan Padhi, IAS, not to mention numerous interviews with teachers, students, villagers and field educational staff. Language: Oriya and English.
